According to foreign media reports, a new solution by European energy company Fortum increased the material recycling rate of electric vehicle batteries to 80%, such as cobalt, nickel, lithium and so on. This technology will reuse a large amount of scarce metals consumed by the power battery industry, reduce the need to mine some rare metals, and maintain the sustainable development of the industry.

At present, the average recovery rate of the global power battery material is only about 50%. The International Energy Agency predicts that by 2030, the global lithium-ion battery recycling market will increase from only 1.7 million euros to 20 billion euros (150 billion yuan).
